Jackie enjoys creating one of a kind paintings for her clients. Portraits are the most frequent requests, however she has also been commissioned to paint still lifes and nostalgic landscapes.
Portrait pricing varies depending upon the size of the painting, how many people are included, the nature of the clothing detail, the type of background and any props or pets that may be included. The total price for a painting generally ranges between $1000-$4000. Small head shots range between $300-$400. After a preliminary meeting Jackie will meet the subject of the painting and then do one or more photoshoots. She will then collaborate with her client to determine the best photo references that capture the subject's beauty and personality and together develop a proposal that fits the client's budget.
Weddings and other Special Events: Out of respect to professional photographers, she will not work from another artist's professional photos. She is happy to schedule a shoot before, during or after the special event.
Amateur photos will be evaluated on a case by case basis. She has made photo shoot exceptions for memorial paintings and is always honored to review potential family photos for remembering a loved one or special occasion. ______________________________________________________
I am so pleased that I asked Jackie to paint watercolor portraits of each of my three daughters. Jackie's abilities exceed merely skillfully depicting my daughters. She was able to capture their personality in the snapshot of a moment. In order to get the best light and due to the youth of her subjects, Jackie did multiple sittings and reviewed hundreds of images to find the perfect sample. She reviewed the best pictures with me and explained what she was looking for in composition and to elicit my opinion on the image that best captured each child. In the end, I have three paintings that are exquisite and will be treasured by my family. I am so grateful for the quality of work and the wonderful experience of getting to know Jackie.

Still Lifes: A still life painting can involve any number and type of objects brought together to convey a passion, activity or special memory. It can be a collection of seashells, trophies, a favorite shirt draped over a chair with a favorite pet, a game board, or anything that invokes a special memory or accomplishment. It can also be a lovely and alternative way to honor the memory of a loved one.
This painting was made in honor of a good friend who collected antique pharmacy bottles.
