About The Artist: Jackie Dorsey, AWS, NWS, is an award winning watercolor artist based in Athens, Georgia. Her work has been juried into local, state, national and international shows and has appeared in many publications including "Splash", Watercolor Artist Magazine, February 2020, under "This Years Best Paintings", and most recently Watercolor Artist Magazine, Winter 2023, The Best of 2022 (in watercolor). She is a former board member and president of the Georgia Watercolor Society and has gained signature membership in a number of art societies including the National Watercolor Society and the American Watercolor Society. She is passionate about the vibrant music and art scene in Athens and has collaborated with musicians to benefit Nuci's Space a mental health resource for musicians as well as the Georgia Music Foundation. Limited autographed prints are available of Michael Stipe, Sunny Ortiz, Mike Cooley, and Vanessa Briscoe Hay. Jackie recently celebrated the legacies of a number of Georgia Musicians in her solo-exhibition at the Lyndon House Arts Center in Athens.
