About The Artist: Jackie Dorsey is an award winning watercolor artist based in Athens, Georgia.  Her work has been juried into local, state, national and international shows and has appeared in many publications including "Splash", Watercolor Artist Magazine, February 2020, under "This Years Best Paintings", and most recently Watercolor Artist Magazine, Winter 2023, The Best of 2022 (in watercolor). She is a former board member and president of the Georgia Watercolor Society and has gained signature membership in a number of art societies.  She is passionate about the vibrant music and art scene in Athens and has collaborated with musicians to benefit Nuci's Space a mental health resource for musicians.  Limited autographed prints are still available of Michael Stipe, Sunny Ortiz and Mike Cooley (just navigate to the Nuci's Space tab under more...).  She is currently honored to be working on an exhibition to celebrate the legacies of a number of Georgia Musicians which will show for the first time at the Lyndon House Arts Center June-August 2023.  This project has been 5 years in the making and she is looking forward to sharing and honoring Georgia's musicians.

Louisiana Watercolor Society 53rd International Exhibition, Dahlias, Queen of Summer, will be on display at Place St Charles, 201 St Charles Ave., New Orleans, from May 1-May 19, 2023.

Georgia Watercolor Society 2023 National Exhibition, Stronger than you think, will be on display at the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association and Art Center, Blue Ridge, GA, from April 5-May 19, 2023.

American Watercolor Society 156th Annual International Exhibition, Apathy & Good Books, will be on display at the Salmagundi Club, 47 Fifth Ave. NYC April 3-28, 2023.

Artfields, Bare Ruin'd Choirs, will be on display in Lake City, SC for Artfields from April 19-29, 2023.

California Watercolor Society National Exhibition, The Devil Went Down to Georgia,  will be on display at the Harrington Gallery in Pleasanton, California from January 7-March 18 2023.

Philadelphia Watercolor Society 122nd International Works on Paper, Slings and Arrows, was on display at the Chester Arts Association in West Chester, PA, from November 1-November 31.

Northwestern Watercolor Society International Exhibition, Climbing My Soul, was on display on-line from October 28-January 6 at
nwws.org.

Pennsylvania Watercolor Society International Juried Exhibition, déjà vu, was on display on-line from September 24 to November 25 at pawcs.com.

Kentucky Watercolor Society Aqueous, Pumpkin Spice, was on display at the Headly Whitney Museum in Lexington, KY, from August 26 to November 6.

Southwestern Watercolor Society, Stronger Than You Think, was on display at the Art Gallery Pure in Plano, TX from September 5 to October 1, 2022.

Georgia Watercolor Society, Pop Art (Awarded First Place), is on display at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center beginning August 11and ending October 1, 2022.

Illinois Watercolor Society 38th National Exhibition, Pop Art, was on display at the Fine Arts Center, Dixon, Illinois April 30 – May 29, 2022.

2022 34th Tri-State Exhibition, Phenomenal Woman and Anchored in You-Shawn Mullins (awarded), was on exhibit at the FSU Museum, May 27-July 8.

2022 Watercolor USA, THIS, awarded, will be on exhibit at the Springfield Art Museum, MO, from June 4-August 28.

2022 Watercolor Society of Alabama National Exhibition, Bare Ruin’d Choirs, awarded Best in Show (Award of Excellence) was on exhibit at the Jemison-Carnegie Heritage Hall Museum, Talladega, Alabama from April 3 to June 3.
 
2022  Georgia Watercolor Society National Exhibition, Pulse, was on exhibit at OCAF, Watkinsville, GA. From April 9-June 4.
 
2022  45th International Watermedia Exhibition, Dahlias Queen of Summer was on exhibit at the WAS-H Gallery, Houston, TX from March 6-March 31.
 
California Watercolor Association’s 52nd National Exhibition, Pumpkin Spice was on exhibit at the Harrington Gallery, Pleasanton, CA. from January 8-March 12.
