Jackie Dorsey is an award winning artist based in Athens, Georgia. Her work has been exhibited in local, state, national and international shows and was recently featured in Watercolor Artist Magazine under "This Years Best Paintings". She is a signature member, board member and past president of the Georgia Watercolor Society. Her work is primarily watercolor and portraiture. She is inspired by the vibrant art and music scene in Georgia and is currently working on an exhibition of Legendary Georgia Musicians.

The artist is passionate about music and the Athens music scene and gives back by combining efforts with musicians to benefit Nuci’s Space. Autographed prints of Michael Stipe, That's Me in the Corner", are still available. Autographed prints by Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood of the Drive By Truckers are available in very limited quantities. Autographed prints by Sunny Ortiz of Widespread Panic are also available. Nuci's Space is a non-profit health and music resource center for musicians in Athens, GA www.nuci.org.

Georgia Watercolor Society XXXVIII National Exhibition The painting Butterfly Clip of the musician Erin Burchfield (Wrennpop now Pip the Pansy) was on display at the Rousch Family Gallery, 251 Alabama Street, Carrollton, GA from March 11 – April 28, 2017. It was awarded the Peach Award by juror Fealing Lin.
American Watercolor Society 150th International Show The artist's painting entitled Natural Light, of Mike Cooley of the Drive By Truckers, was juried in to this prestigious show. The Exhibition was held April 3-22, 2017 at the Salmagundi Club, 47 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY.
Georgia Watercolor Society Signature Show January 12 through February 24, 2017 334 Highway 9N, Dawsonville, GA. Two of the artist's paintings were on show plus paintings from 65 other Georgia Watercolor Society Signature members. The painting, Real Life, was awarded First Place.
Athens Celebrated January 20 through February 17, 2017 at OCAF (Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation), 34 School Street, Watkinsville. This show was the artist's homage to Athens. She states "All of the people I invited to participate represent something that I value in our community. The people, the music, the arts, the unique shops and restaurants, the university and the community activism and events make this town the gem that it is."

Drive-By-Truckers Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood signed prints of their paintings during one of their Athens Homecoming. The prints are limited edition, less than 11 made of each, and printed on watercolor paper with archival ink. They sell for $200 and $100 of each purchase will go directly to Nuci's Space. For Cooley's painting, Natural Light, the image size is approximately 13.75 x 20.25 with a white border trim to allow for his autograph. For Hood's painting, What it Means, the image size is approximately 15 x 20.25 also with a white border trim for his autograph. With the white border trim both prints are 18 x 22.5.
